on the one level, this is entirely remarkable - how we truly have the stamp of the Creator on our souls. and then when i heard the Richard Feynman quote, i really began to wonder whether or not this is the tower of Babel all over again.

Patrick,

I am the aforementioned new M member. Would love to hook up and talk Vox with you. I'm in London right now with my sights set on Toronto.

Thanks Patrick. Yeah, we do tend to hang out at Starbucks on Sunday mornings but it is just that, hanging out. A chance to catch up and introduce friends to the community.

What stage are you at now?

Sorry I won't get to meet you in Feb, but Ryan from our team will be over.

Hi Patrick, we don't have weekly Sunday services. We do have a monthly gathering for prayer, worship, and communion and also a monthly teaching night we're adding to the mix.

Ultimately though we see these things being part of the life of our community any day, time, or place.

Does that help?!

Patrick, I hope you noticed the pics from the Vox event in Sheffield on the new Vox site. I think the Vox Culture Pub process is starting to take root. I hope you like the new site. Of course, as a part of IMN Global (your 7-Day tuition covers this) who also operates a Culture Pub, you are an admin for the whole site as well as for your group. In order for your group admin powers to become effective, you need to join the site and your Venue. [I see you're already in there and figuring that out]. You can upload your next events there. That site is designed for the Vox audience and will really come into play as we move towards VOXTROPOLIS (UK)...and who knows, eventually VOXTROPOLIS (Canada).

Hi Patrick, good to hear from you!

Sadly I won't be able to be part of this years immersion in Orlando as my wife is due to give birth that week! I'm gutted to be missing it after being there the last three years...but obviously a great reason for not being able to be there!

We're going to make a call on Easter shortly, I'd like to...just weighing feasibility up.

Holiness and Risk

A few hours after touching down back in Scotland from The International Mentoring Network’s Immersion experience in Orlando, I found myself in a conversation about a Methodist Church initiative called Holiness and Risk.

Is it okay if I tell you a little about this? It’s a really intriguing kind of thing that can emerge [...]

Tomorrow and How to Get There – The Futuristic

Tomorrow.  Face it with either fear or anticipation, it doesn’t matter which, it is coming regardless of our grasp of it.  Fortunes have been made marketing knowledge about tomorrow whether that tomorrow is 24 hours away or 100 years distant.

Fortune tellers make the promise that that can allay our fears with their prognostication [...]

Communities of Knowing

In his book, The Message in the Bottle, Walker Percy tells the fictional story of a train that hurried through the countryside. The commuters on board saw the passing scenery as little more than a two-dimensional background rolling past their windows.

One day, though, the train breaks down and the commuters have to disembark by a [...]
