mmmm.., good question! :-) Met Alex about 4 years ago at Origins, and have bumped into him at different venues - PK; Catalyst, etc..., We have conversed several times over the last few years and when Vox started I was onboard from the git go and the same with the "M".

He and NIZA both are really cool individuals that I think God has specifically put in my path because of my passion for Orphans of Aids. The Lord and I will be planting a new community of faith in Penna. in 2009 and a big part of what we do from that plant will involve the Orphans issue.

I also think the the Build A Village vision has huge potential; so.., I am going to do whatever I can to help them get traction and real movement in that vision.

Other than that, it has been cool conversing with peeps from all over the planet and just getting to share the journey with folks like yourself in the Internet City of VOX and beyond.

Thanks for asking.

How bout you? I see your in film and writing, creative arts, etc... I am attempting to write a book, Lord willing!

IHL,
Richie

So, how's the half-job going? Any time between August & October for my little project? I'd also like to get some snowy winter footage in January/Feb/March... but I want to hear your ideas.
Grace and strength to you!

Well, lay a firmly conservative foundation. Add a few compelling libertarian insights, and marinate seventeen years in the inner city. Garnish with green sensibilities (the permaculture variety).

Conservatives preoccupied with social justice issues were once called "bleeding-heart conservatives", and I once read an article in Utne Reader that labelled eco-nuts like me "crunchy conservatives". But considering the direction mainline conservatism has gone recently, I'm feeling less and less affinity with it. I don't know of any politician or political wing that espouses all my convictions.

Holiness and Risk

A few hours after touching down back in Scotland from The International Mentoring Network’s Immersion experience in Orlando, I found myself in a conversation about a Methodist Church initiative called Holiness and Risk.

Is it okay if I tell you a little about this? It’s a really intriguing kind of thing that can emerge [...]

Tomorrow and How to Get There – The Futuristic

Tomorrow.  Face it with either fear or anticipation, it doesn’t matter which, it is coming regardless of our grasp of it.  Fortunes have been made marketing knowledge about tomorrow whether that tomorrow is 24 hours away or 100 years distant.

Fortune tellers make the promise that that can allay our fears with their prognostication [...]

Communities of Knowing

In his book, The Message in the Bottle, Walker Percy tells the fictional story of a train that hurried through the countryside. The commuters on board saw the passing scenery as little more than a two-dimensional background rolling past their windows.

One day, though, the train breaks down and the commuters have to disembark by a [...]
