Ideation is among my traits as well. Actually, these are Input, Learner, Intellection, Ideation and Strategic. The last one gives me hope that there is more to my advantages than being a forever scatterbrained bookworm. The first three seem a bit re…

You are right, of course. I also have Input and Connectedness (and Strategic, Positivity, Activator and enough Relator to show up once). I imagine that having Input as one of my top 3 is one source of my "conversational stamina"-- I'm delighted to…

Nicolas, thank you for the great insight on Ideation. It is interesting that you mention "the stamina to stay focused on an idea..". That is a strong indicator of Ideation and the fascination/wonderment they have with ideas. While you search for so…

Yep, I am strong in Ideation. I truly love ideas and discussing them with others, but it is kind of a lonely theme to have. Most people don't seem to have the stamina to stay focused on one idea for more than maybe three "exchanges" (you say somethi…

Professor Mike Disney, an astronomer from Cardiff University has articulated for me a journey I have been on spiritually. In reference to the search for dark matter and dark energy (don't worry too much about these terms...they don't matter to the story really...though they are intriguing) he gave his opinion about the commonly held belief of scientist at large. A commonly held belief he disagrees with.

Did you hate watching that Cowboys game as much as I did yesterday? I was really looking forward to seeing them take down the Patriots in a history-making Super Bowl.

Dale,

Nice meeting and hookin up in DC last night. Thanks for taking the time. Hopefully it will lead to something more. I see from Emily's post, that SF is on of your strong areas. I am interested also in dialoging more about this at some juncture.

Listen, if you ever want to visit Va Beach, my house is yours. Also.., have you done a Culture Pub? If so.., I am interested also in how that went. Aight.

Until then - Peace.

IHL,

Richie

Emily I am more than willing to help you as you prepare for the culture pub. What a great opportunity to be in a position to introduce people for the first time to some of the talents they've been created with.

About coming out there I would love to! Jen (my wife) and I have been talking about this....maybe we will make it a much more intentional conversation now :)

my email is dale.swinburne (at) gmail.com If you email me there we can talk about some possibilities for the culture pub!

hey dale, my name is emily and im a part of dean sharp's team and a part of the underground. For our next culture pub, we want to have a strenght finders booth and i am going to try to run it. So, the idea is that before nov. i become trained in strenghts and profiling and dean has sent me to pursue you, knowing how amazing you are at this. We were hoping that maybe you could mentor me ... or something. Whatever you have to say is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Emily Kyle

p.s. dean really, really, really wants to see you and he thinks that this is a great excuse to come see us, so you should come out for a few days.

Holiness and Risk

A few hours after touching down back in Scotland from The International Mentoring Network’s Immersion experience in Orlando, I found myself in a conversation about a Methodist Church initiative called Holiness and Risk.

Is it okay if I tell you a little about this? It’s a really intriguing kind of thing that can emerge [...]

Tomorrow and How to Get There – The Futuristic

Tomorrow.  Face it with either fear or anticipation, it doesn’t matter which, it is coming regardless of our grasp of it.  Fortunes have been made marketing knowledge about tomorrow whether that tomorrow is 24 hours away or 100 years distant.

Fortune tellers make the promise that that can allay our fears with their prognostication [...]

Communities of Knowing

In his book, The Message in the Bottle, Walker Percy tells the fictional story of a train that hurried through the countryside. The commuters on board saw the passing scenery as little more than a two-dimensional background rolling past their windows.

One day, though, the train breaks down and the commuters have to disembark by a [...]
