so I'm in Vancouver sitting in a pretty chill little coffee house just people watching. loving the fact that i dont really know anyone here and i can take on any persona i really want to be. not in a freaky, psycho, stalker kinda way but really i am who i am and noone expects a certain role to be filled when they're in my presence. sounds kinda weird i guess but whatever. i get to be a part of a pretty cool event so thats what brought me up here. i love being a part of something bigger than myse…

Enjoy your time in Vancouver!
It was good to hear a little about you and what you're doing right now. I've only been to Florida a couple of times, and only to go to Disney World. :) But now that the McManus's live there, I'm hoping to come down a little more often -- and for other reasons than Disney.
I'm a little to the north of you... :) But I grew up all over. My dad was in the military and then worked on staff in churches after he "retired", so I lived all over the western US. But I think I still call LA home, because I lived there for 18 years and Mosaic, my home church, is there (I was at Mosaic for over 10 years). It's hard to give that kind of family up, ya know?
I've been living in Nashville for almost 3 years. I moved here to plant a Mosaic, but it fell through. All for the best. I found an awesome church that's only four years old. I mentor people (mostly women right now) as they prepare to serve overseas. I used to be an overseas missionary -- in India and in the Northern Africa Middle East region -- and before that I saw myself as a missionary in Hollywood, where I worked, so I have a little background from which to pull.
I cannot believe how fulfilling mentoring these girls is! Two of them just landed in South Africa this week and I feel like a proud mama watching her girls dance in a recital or something. I'm just bursting! I'm so excited for them and all they will learn and experience.
Well, that's probably more than you can digest in one sitting, so I'll quit for now. :)
Tell me more about you.
