Hi Chris! Thanks for the friend request. What's your musical about? My son is a musican. He writes, sings and plays guitar and piano. I, on the otherhand, do none of those things! I admire those with a musical gift!!

Chris, thanks for the response...yes, I do some writing and arranging. My classical background shows up in my original stuff, which is why I wanted to check out some of your work....look forward to listening to it.

Hey Chris--
Glad to hear things are on an upswing--that's great that you're getting the opportunity to write for live ensembles. I think writing for the orchestra is one of the great joys--and challenges--in music.
I'd like to send you a sampler of different projects I've composed, arranged, or produced. Let me know where to send it.
I've produced records in the Latin pop, country rock, alternative pop, Latin jazz, electronica, Brazilian,
and acoustic rock genres, among others. I really enjoy variety and wearing different hats.
Hope all is well with you, Chris. It'd be great for us to have the chance to work on something together.
Take care,
Marcus

Holiness and Risk

A few hours after touching down back in Scotland from The International Mentoring Network’s Immersion experience in Orlando, I found myself in a conversation about a Methodist Church initiative called Holiness and Risk.

Is it okay if I tell you a little about this? It’s a really intriguing kind of thing that can emerge [...]

Tomorrow and How to Get There – The Futuristic

Tomorrow.  Face it with either fear or anticipation, it doesn’t matter which, it is coming regardless of our grasp of it.  Fortunes have been made marketing knowledge about tomorrow whether that tomorrow is 24 hours away or 100 years distant.

Communities of Knowing

In his book, The Message in the Bottle, Walker Percy tells the fictional story of a train that hurried through the countryside. The commuters on board saw the passing scenery as little more than a two-dimensional background rolling past their windows.

One day, though, the train breaks down and the commuters have to disembark by a [...]
