Being filled with the Spirit

Jesus did not begin his ministry until after he had been baptized in the Holy Spirit. (Luke 3:21-23). Jesus himself explained how he operated “If I by the Spirit of God do cast out demons then has the Kingdom of God come upon you” (Matthew 12:28). He told us we could do the same. “Anyone one who believes in me will do what I have been doing – and greater things.”(John l:12). And he told us how it could be done. “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you” (Acts 1:8). That powe

Hello, friend!
As a friend in Christ, it is possible to say that, and what a blessing that is. To be a friend, and to be 'in Christ'.

Hey Jean;
I took a look at that website you suggested, and found it very interesting. The interview with Dallas Willard in particular, where he talks about faith and works reminds me of another qute I read recently "What is grace if not Heaven begun on earth?"

Jean,

Oh...., I just love Edinburgh! Scotland in general is just sooo beautiful. My family and I lived there for 13 months back in the early 90's. I quite miss it. Welcome to the "M"!

IHL,

Richie

Hey Jean,
Welcome and thanks for the comment! Maybe the answer to finding a small group of like mind could be to "nudge" one we are already a part of in that diretion. " and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works; not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh"
Heb 10:23-25 (ASV)
Your idea of goal setting is great, I need to un-pack that. Could you give me a couple examples?
