You know who you are

I am looking for good ideas that can be made great. Great because they are cool and hip. Great because they have impact. On lives. On souls. On the world.

I am part of a group of creative agitators -- agitators of love and transformation. We are putting together a team that will chew on good ideas in a true creative process. Our aim? To make them great, and to give them back.

Once we have chewed on these great ideas, we will strive to seed them back into culture. They will go back to their creators and to the world. Without expectation. Without payback. The only payment we call for is to hear the resulting stories of transformation.

Acts, projects, expressions. The sky's the limit. Creative to the utmost. Transforming lives. Compelling souls. God created... and He saw that it was good. And so should we.

Do you resonate? If so, pipe up and post your thoughts. Make your hearts be known. This is very formative, and we don't know where it will lead. All we know is that we hope it will be great.

Sometimes the most creative ideas are the simplest. I recently talked to a friend of mine who together with his wife are saving $200.00 a month for impact stuff. They see somone in need - boom the act. It could be food; it could be a car repair; it could be just money to make ends meets; it could the next meal. Simple - but you can be creative in how you go about using those funds.

I intend to go and buy a bunch of $5-$10 gift cards for homeless folks and the corner guys. When I see them or when I go to look for them; that is what I will give. That way they can't use it to support their habits or addiction of choice; but get a meal or coffee.

This may or may not be what your looking for. Both of the above are what I have started to incorporate into my lifestyle. Either way..., I'll add more stuff later. :-)

Can you elaborate a bit further on this? Some detail or an idea on how this would work? I think I get it , but wanted to be sure.

Thanks.

OK, OK, this is very formative. But it is developing. Here is some more meat to chew on. It is a work in progress. I welcome any thoughts, suggestions, innovations on this. Let your creativity flow, 'cause that's what it's all about. Be a part of the greenectar revolution.

greenectar's mission statement (who we are and what we do): Intentional gatherings of creative individuals who generate and implement original projects that impact others in meaningful, life giving ways, that deepens their relationship with God and that ultimately brings Glory to God.

greenectar's "what we believe" statement:At greenectar we believe that all creativity originates from God’s creative nature, and is given to us as a precious gift to experience and express. Those who choose to wrap their lives around God through truth will inevitably experience a greater freedom and ability to create.

As individuals we are responsible to nurture our creative gifts and be committed to investing time and energy in using them to connect to God, inspire others, reach out to the community and to worship God. Embracing creativity as an essential will hopefully propel us to stay on the innovative edge of what God is doing to bring others closer to Him.

greenectar plans to create environments where people are encouraged to explore and express their creativity in a way that impacts others in meaningful, life giving ways and that ultimately brings Glory to God. God gives us the gift, faithfully using it is our gift back.

greenectar's definition of creativity:Creativity: is the skill to originate something new and that has significant value to an individual, a group, and organization or a society.

Holiness and Risk

Tomorrow and How to Get There – The Futuristic

Tomorrow.  Face it with either fear or anticipation, it doesn’t matter which, it is coming regardless of our grasp of it.  Fortunes have been made marketing knowledge about tomorrow whether that tomorrow is 24 hours away or 100 years distant.

Communities of Knowing

In his book, The Message in the Bottle, Walker Percy tells the fictional story of a train that hurried through the countryside. The commuters on board saw the passing scenery as little more than a two-dimensional background rolling past their windows.

One day, though, the train breaks down and the commuters have to disembark by a [...]
